Is there a common voice among the
nurses in the U.S.? Registered nurses play many roles within the U.S. healthcare system but the most
important one being the direct care giver. RNs are also responsible for providing education for
our patients, advocating for them, and ensuring they receive the best care. RNs are responsible
for communicating with the care team and family members. I am not sure what role the RN
should play. Sometimes, I believe the RN has too many responsibilities on their shoulders and
there should be more resources available so the RN can focus on providing patient care.
